Here I am with you; I will keep you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.
(Genesis 28:15)

You have probably heard of the book The Pilgrim’s Progress by John Bunyan. This Christian literary classic presents interesting analogies about the Christian’s walk of faith toward heaven. In a way, we are all pilgrims on earth. Our life is a journey with challenges, companionship, and a sure destination.

God walks alongside us. If we trust in Jesus and His Word, we can be sure of His wonderful presence beside us. Even if you don't understand what will happen along the way, God will take care of everything and will be there, steadfast, walking with you.

God accompanies you on the journey
Give thanks to the Lord because He never abandons you.
Pray and surrender to God the anxiety and worry about the problems on the road.
If you can't see much further down the path, remember: your Savior sees and knows everything.
Always trust in God as your Father, friend, guide, counselor, and protector. More than your best companion, He is the way you must follow (John 14:6).
Join with other pilgrims in the faith. Walk alongside Jesus and encourage your fellow brothers and sisters to stay firm on the path.

To pray:
Lord God, You are my guide and my protector. Thank You for being my greatest friend and companion at all times. Even though surprises or suffering may await me on the journey, I am sure that You, Lord, are always by my side and will sustain me to the end. Stay with us, with Your people, Father. Help us on the way because we cannot continue on our own. I ask this and thank You, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
