Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
(Deuteronomy 31:6)

Courage! When Moses declared these words, Joshua was entering a new level, different from anything he had experienced before. Like him, you should not fear new challenges. If they are in front of you, it is because God is giving you an opportunity to grow even more.

That new land might be a job, studying a new career, or even a change in attitude. Place God and His Word as your reference and be courageous.

When we have Jesus as our guide, we don’t feel lost or abandoned. Joshua entered a land full of challenges, but God never abandoned him. As children of God, we have the permanent presence of the Father in our lives, so there is no reason to fear. Let’s move forward in faith, firm in the Word, and take possession of the land that God has promised us!

Advancing with courage:
Thank God for the new challenges. Ask Him to remove any spirit of fear that is preventing you from advancing in His ways.
Meditate on the Word of God. When we read the Bible, we recognize His promises, and the Word itself guides us on how to take hold of them.
Share your challenge with a trusted brother or sister. Ask for their help in prayer.

To pray:
Lord Jesus, I want to thank You for this new opportunity. I want to rise to this challenge and overcome it. That’s why I place my trust in You. Remove from me all feelings of fear or dread. I know You are by my side, and I want to continue walking with You, advancing in faith. In the name of Jesus, amen.
